    Each of these webinars is specifically geared to meet the guidelines of the EducationUSA Centers we visit each year: the presentation will only briefly describe F&M, instead focusing on the larger picture of the title topic within general college admission.  If you are a REAC, please do forward this registration information to any of your regional advisors who would have an interest in sharing with advisees.  The registration link is not recipient-specific, so please feel free to forward it to anyone who might be interested in attending.

    This webinar will share specific examples of especially poignant and unique essays — real glimpses of the type of writing that "shows" rather than "tells," shares the charisma of the applicant behind the writing, and highlights the strengths of an international student in particular.

    The College Interview: Online – October 30, 2018 at 4pm EST
    If evaluative interviews weren't stressful enough, add in major time zone differences and
    cantankerous technology! This webinar will offer tips for how to conduct the best
    evaluative interview via popular online channels: from how to best prepare for any
    question you might be asked to how to follow up!


    The Holistic Application Process: How Selective Schools Evaluate Applications – November 1, 2018 at 7am EST
    This webinar will discuss some of the specifics behind applying to selective colleges
    and universities - those that admit fewer than 40% of their applicant pool, for example.
    Part of this discussion will also cover how to proceed from a Wait List decision -
    something most students who apply to a batch of selective or highly selective
    institutions will face in at least one case.


    The Gap Year - Planning Your Gap Year or Applying Post-Gap – November 1, 2018 at 5pm EST
    Even with the help of mentors and American education centers like EdUSA, applying
    after a Gap Year can be intimidating. This webinar will discuss ways to positively share
    your learning experiences, or plan for them.
