F&M Summer College Prep Nomination Form



    The application process for Franklin & Marshall College Prep 2019 begins with this nomination form. You will complete a separate form for each student that you nominate.

    All candidates must be currently enrolled in high school, completing their junior year. The ideal nominees would have all of the following characteristics:

    • A minimum unweighted current year and cumulative high school GPA of 3.3 (B+) and/or ranked in the Top 5% of their class
    • A record of academic striving (e.g., taking AP, IB, Honors, or college-level courses)
    • Must be of a background underrepresented in higher education (e.g., low-income, first in family to go to college, underrepresented minority, or from a rural community)
    • Have demonstrated leadership in their home, school, or community


    In addition to completing the form, you are expected to upload, as described in the application below, the following documents:

    • Recommendation letter from high school teacher, or high school counselor, or college opportunity program representative
    • Official high school transcript
    • Standardized test scores, if separate from transcript (PLAN and/or PSATs are acceptable)
    • High school profile, if available
    • College opportunity program profile, if applicable and available


    Following your submission of the nomination, the student will receive an email with a link to the application, which will ask the student for:

    • Background and demographic information
    • List of engagement and leadership activities
    • A short essay on why they want to participate in F&M College Prep
    • A response to a question from The Common Application


    The nomination deadline is Friday, January 25, 2019.

    The application deadline is Friday, February 22, 2019.

    Program admission decisions will be announced during the week of March 18, 2019.

    Participants must commit to attend ALL program days starting Friday, July 5 and ending Friday, July 26, including weekends.
